Bounce Booster
When a visitor hits the back button, they don't return to the referrer — they land on a rescue page you chose.
The Bounce Booster is an affiliate and conversion technique that rescues abandoning visitors. Instead of returning to the previous page, the back-button click drops them on a URL you defined — a discount offer, a lead magnet, or a different affiliate offer.
Technically it uses the browser's History API (history.pushState + a popstate listener). When the visitor clicks the short link, an extra entry is pushed into browser history. When they hit the back button, JavaScript intercepts and redirects them to your rescue URL.
The technique was popularized by tools like BounceBooster.com in the affiliate world. On promolinks.net it is a Growth-tier feature — configurable per link or as a profile default. Affiliate marketers commonly report a 10-30% conversion lift from otherwise lost traffic.
