Custom Domain

Using your own domain as the base for short links — maximum brand control.

Custom domain means you serve short links from a domain you own (e.g., go.yourbrand.com) instead of from a shared shortener domain. Prerequisite: you control the DNS records on that domain.

Technically it works through a CNAME record that points your subdomain at the shortener's servers. The shortener receives incoming clicks and redirects them to the destination URL on your behalf.

Advantage over branded domains pulled from a shared pool: 100% your identity. Downside: a small amount of DNS and SSL setup. On promolinks.net custom domains are a VIP-tier feature with white-glove onboarding.
